You may spot trout in Lake Wakatipu or birds along the shoreline, particularly around quieter sections of Frankton Arm. However, wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. The cruise focuses on mountain scenery, local history and lake landmarks rather than a dedicated wildlife-watching itinerary, so there is plenty to enjoy regardless of sightings.
