A Day of Discovery on the Coast and Rainforest Walking Tour

Take a deep breath of crisp forest air as you begin your journey through West Auckland’s untamed beauty. The tour starts at the Arataki Visitor Centre, where sweeping views of both city and rainforest lay the perfect foundation. From there, guided trails weave through ancient Kauri trees and native bush, offering fascinating insight into the area's ecological and cultural stories.

Expect more than just a walk—this full-day experience reveals the wild heart of New Zealand. With black sand beaches underfoot and birdsong in the canopy above, each path leads to a fresh perspective. Along the way, knowledgeable local guides share rich Māori heritage and natural history, ensuring an unforgettable and educational Kiwi adventure.

Please note: There are up to three one-hour walks during the day and several areas of steps (stairs) so a good level of fitness is required. If you want a gentler afternoon in the area check out our Wilderness Experience tour.
