Relax and Explore on a Day in the Sounds at Furneaux Lodge
Start your day in Picton with a scenic cruise across Queen Charlotte Sound as your skipper shares fascinating stories about the local wildlife and history. Pause at Ship Cove, a favourite of Captain Cook in the 1770s, with 30 minutes to explore its beach and monument. The journey offers incredible scenery along the way, with forested hills and sheltered bays.
At Furneaux Lodge, unwind in peaceful surroundings at the base of Mount Furneaux, where the lodge is framed by native bush and sweeping lawns. Stroll to the on-site waterfall, explore the gardens, or simply relax by the waterโs edge. After your visit, step back aboard the Mail Boat for a scenic return to Picton.
Please note: that meals and drinks at Furneaux Lodge are not included in the cruise cost and must be paid for directly at the lodge.

To help reduce our environmental impact, Beachcomber Cruises no longer uses single-use cups on any of our vessels. Reusable souvenir keep cups are available for purchase at the office before departure. We also provide complimentary tea and coffee for you to enjoy during the tour.
