Goat Island Marine Reserve Dive Charter Adventures

Goat Island Marine Reserve, also known as Te Hāwere-a-Maki, is New Zealand’s first marine reserve and a favourite destination for divers of all levels. Just north of Auckland, this 1-hectare island is surrounded by pristine waters that protect a diverse range of marine habitats. From schools of fish to hidden crayfish nests, every dive reveals something new beneath the waves.

The island also holds deep cultural significance, with Ngāti Manuhiri recognising it as the landing site of their ancestral waka, Moe Karaka. Beyond its rich heritage, the reserve offers unforgettable underwater encounters, whether you’re new to diving or a seasoned pro. With crystal-clear waters and thriving ecosystems, Goat Island is one of New Zealand’s most treasured marine environments.
