This four-hour Queenstown 4WD tour travels along the historic Skippers Canyon Road into the Shotover River Valley. Visit old gold-mining sites, cross the Skippers Suspension Bridge and hear stories about the miners and families who lived in this remote landscape.

The tour also includes panoramic canyon viewpoints, the restored Skippers School and a guided gold-panning experience at Deep Creek. Morning and afternoon departures are available, with Queenstown accommodation transfers included.

A private charter can be booked for groups of up to six people. Travellers who prefer a guaranteed window seat can select the four-person maximum option, which limits the number of passengers in the vehicle.

  • Within 24 hours: No refund
