- 1-hour guided Kiwi Hatchery Experience

- Kiwi chick viewing most likely during September–March (hatching season)
- Adult kiwi visible year-round in the nocturnal enclosure
- Some parts of the hatchery are low light for kiwi welfare
- Maximum 25 guests per scheduled tour. Larger groups may be split into smaller tour groups
- Tours may start at different points inside the hatchery depending on group size
- Located at the Agrodome site, Rotorua
- Please note that for the safety and wellbeing of kiwi, no photos are to be taken of kiwi. Handling of kiwi is only by our expert Kiwi Keepers.
Hours
- Open daily — bookings essential
- Kiwi Encounter Tours run frequently between 9am and 3pm
- Each tour is 1 hour
- Cancellations more than 24 hours before departure: Full refund**.
- Within 24 hours: No refund
Note: **Any refund approved under our terms and conditions will be subject to a 5% admin & processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
