The tour continues with a visit to Irishman Creek Hut, where you’ll hear tales of forestry and see massive pinecones. At Swan Tarn, take in stunning alpine views of the Southern Alps and Aoraki Mt Cook, while keeping an eye out for the rare Black Stilt bird. These special stops provide the perfect chance to capture memorable photos of landscapes and wildlife.
Next, sample pure New Zealand honey straight from the farm before sipping refreshing spring water at Forks Stream. You’ll also pass the horse ranch, where Disney’s Mulan filmed scenes with the farm’s famous horses. The journey concludes with a private lookout over Mt John and a chance to meet friendly alpacas back at the farmyard, ensuring a fitting end to this unique Tekapo adventure.

Guests who book the High Country Station Tour can also enjoy a free guided petting zoo session. This 30-minute experience is a lovely add-on for families, with the chance to meet friendly farm animals such as merino sheep, alpacas, kunekune pigs, a Jersey cow and guinea pigs.
