Into the Glow: Waitomo Caves Private Experience
Next, head underground to Waitomo for a completely private tour through its magical glowworm caverns. Your guide will take you on a serene boat ride along the underground Waitomo River, where thousands of tiny glowworms illuminate the cavern ceiling like a star-filled sky. You’ll continue on a guided walk through limestone formations, stalactites, and limestone columns before emerging back into the daylight—filled with wonder.
This private twist on beloved attractions lets you savour the glowworm spectacle and Hobbiton magic—two very different, beautifully woven stories of Aotearoa—on the same incredible day, without rushing or sharing the experience with strangers.
