  • The minimum age limit for children wanting to swim on the tour is 8 years of age and all children aged 8 to 14 years must be accompanied by an adult both in the water and on board the boat at all times.

Itinerary

9:00 AM - Start your journey north, departing the Garden City of Christchurch.

10:00 AM - Stop in the scenic Waipara region, famous for its vineyards and rolling green countryside. Here, you'll get to enjoy a wine tasting experience at a local vineyard, or if you prefer, swap wine for a local craft beer before continuing your journey.

11:15 AM -  Take a quick break in Cheviot, a charming town along the coastal route where you get to stretch your legs, grab a refreshment, and prepare for the stunning drive ahead, where you'll pass through Hundalee Hill.

12:30 PM - Arrive in Kaikoura and enjoy lunch at a local cafe or a popular fish and chips spot. The town is known for its fresh seafood and panoramic ocean views with the mountains as a backdrop.

1:30 PM - Check-in for the highlight of the tour: the Kaikoura Dolphin Encounter. Board the boat and head out into the Pacific Ocean, where you’ll have the chance to witness or swim with playful Dusky Dolphins.

4:30 PM - After your dolphin encounter, relax as you journey back to Christchurch.

6:00 PM - Your tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation in Christchurch.
