Itinerary

2:30 PM - Depart Mt Cook Information Centre and journey to Mt Cook. Weather permitting, you’ll capture some stunning shots of Aoraki/Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest peak at 3724m. Despite its towering height, the mountain is easily viewed from the village, which sits at just 750m above sea level.

3:30 PM - Travel along one of the most scenic roads in the world, Lake Pukaki comes into view with its brilliant blue waters. Framed by Aoraki/Mt Cook and the Southern Alps, this is the perfect spot for incredible photos. We’ll also point out nearby locations where scenes from Lord of the Rings were filmed.

4:30 PM - After leaving Mt Cook, arrive at the breathtaking turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo. You’ll have time to take Instagram-worthy photos, visit the famous Church of the Good Shepherd, and see the Mackenzie Dog statue before we continue towards Christchurch.

5:30 PM - Your journey then takes you through high country towns and beautiful passes before reaching the peaceful town of Geraldine for a short break. Stretch your legs and enjoy the tranquil surroundings before heading towards Christchurch.

7:30 PM - Arrive in Christchurch, where your guide will point out key highlights as you approach the city. You will be dropped off at your designated locations, concluding the day.
