Driving Creek Railway, Kauri Trees & Native Rainforest

A highlight of the day is a journey aboard the famous Driving Creek Railway, one of New Zealand's most unique narrow-gauge rail experiences. Travelling through regenerating native forest and steep mountain terrain, the railway offers spectacular views across the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki Gulf.

The adventure continues with visits to ancient kauri trees, lush subtropical rainforest and locations of historical significance. Towering forest giants, native birdlife and spectacular coastal scenery provide countless opportunities for photography and a deeper appreciation of this remarkable corner of New Zealand.
