Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Hector’s dolphins are wild animals, and the cruise does not chase or deliberately target them. Any encounter depends on dolphins choosing to approach or remain near the vessel.
The boat carries relatively small groups, giving passengers space to move around and change viewing position when wildlife appears. Seating is not presented as allocated, so expect a more informal small-boat experience rather than fixed seating.
The cruise operates on Akaroa Harbour and may be affected by wind, swell and weather. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider your usual seasickness precautions before boarding.
