Discover the Elusive Kiwi in Its Natural Habitat

This unforgettable evening begins with a scenic sea cruise through the islets of Stewart Island, where you may spot yellow-eyed penguins, albatross, and New Zealand fur seals. Guided by local wildlife experts, the journey heads towards Little Glory Cove—home to the southern brown kiwi, or tokoeka.

As twilight deepens, your guide leads you into the coastal forest, using torchlight to help you quietly navigate toward a remote beach where wild kiwi are often seen. With stars overhead and forest sounds around you, this is one of the most authentic and educational kiwi encounters in Aotearoa.
