Taste of Auckland: City and Wine Tour

Spend your morning exploring Auckland with a small group city tour, followed by an afternoon of wine tasting, local cuisine, and the dramatic scenery of Auckland’s west coast.

After a pick-up from your city accommodation, the tour takes you up Queen St, through the central business district, and past Auckland University. A photo stop at The Domain, an inner-city park, follows, before continuing through the charming Ponsonby suburb, known for its historic architecture. Crossing the Harbour Bridge, you’ll head to the North Shore, where you can stroll along Narrow Neck Beach near Devonport and enjoy stunning panoramic views from the summit of Takarunga (Mt Victoria). Returning to Westhaven Marina, you'll see the largest marina in the Southern Hemisphere.

In the afternoon, head to Kumeu Wine Country, Auckland's heritage wine region. Your first stop is at Soljans Vineyard, where you’ll enjoy lunch at their vineyard restaurant, known for its seasonal menu and world-renowned wines. The tour continues with wine tastings at two more vineyards: West Brook Winery, offering idyllic views of its vineyards, and Coopers Creek Winery, known for its adventurous wine blends. The day wraps up with a visit to Muriwai Beach, where from August to April, you can observe gannets in their natural habitat on the cliff-tops overlooking the Tasman Sea.
