Descending two flights of stairs beneath the lake, you’ll first be greeted by the region’s famous aquatic life — sleek eels, playful diving ducks, and curious fish gliding past the windows. Then, as the large cinema screen lowers, you’re transported back millions of years to the dawn of New Zealand itself.   • The entire experience lasts 30 minutes, including 15 minutes of underwater viewing.
  • No filming or recording is allowed during the movie.
  • No food or drink is permitted in Time Tripper.
  • Time Tripper is not wheelchair accessible as it is 5 metres below the water and accessed by two flights of stairs.
