Starting in Alexandra, you can enjoy beautiful sights such as rocky outcrops, old stone water races and huts, patches of purple thyme, and graceful willows along the scenic blue waters.
  2. Roxburgh Dam to Shingle Creek jetty (return): This ride spans 22 kilometres and is also rated easy to intermediate. It takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete. Exploring the lower gorge and Lake Roxburgh area, you'll encounter stunning views of the Central Otago landscape, with some challenging ups and downs along the way.

Prior arrangements are generally not required for Day Rides on the Roxburgh Gorge Cycle Trail. Simply arrive at the trailhead and embark on your chosen Day Ride experience. However, it's always a good idea to check the availability of bike hire services and any specific guidelines or recommendations before setting off on your adventure.
