What to Expect on Your Auckland SkyWalk
The Auckland SkyWalk is designed to test your nerves while giving you an unforgettable perspective of the city from 192m above the ground. Take on a series of adrenaline-fuelled challenges as you walk around the edge of the Sky Tower with nothing but open air beside you. The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the views and embrace the thrill.
Your professional SkyWalk Crew will guide you throughout the experience, sharing fascinating information about Auckland and the construction of the iconic Sky Tower. You’ll be securely attached to a harness and safety rope as you navigate the 1.2m-wide walkway, with no handrails between you and the incredible views below. After your SkyWalk, enjoy a complimentary Sky Tower access pass and continue exploring Auckland from above.

- Participants undergo a breath alcohol test before the activity
- Participants with certain medical conditions should check the medical requirements before booking.
- Prescription safety glasses are available free of charge if required.
The SkyWalk experience is located at Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower, right in the heart of the CBD.
On Foot
- Within easy walking distance of many central Auckland hotels and attractions
- Head towards Federal Street and follow signs for Sky Tower
By Car
- Paid parking is available at the SkyCity Car Park
- The car park is located on the corner of Federal and Victoria Streets
- Allow extra time for city traffic and parking
Public Transport
- Britomart Transport Centre is approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the Sky Tower
- InnerLink and CityLink buses also stop nearby
- No dedicated transport is required due to the central CBD location
