Coast to Country Self-Guided Cycle Tour: Hawke’s Bay on Two Wheels

The Coast to Country Self-Guided Cycle Tour is a relaxed 20km ride through some of Hawke’s Bay’s most beautiful landscapes. Starting at the Cape Coast, you’ll pedal past estuary wetlands, along peaceful river trails, and through rolling vineyards with views of Te Mata Peak. This scenic journey offers the perfect balance of cycling and sightseeing.

Stop at a coastal café for coffee, then enjoy tastings at some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest wineries. A vineyard lunch is included before you finish at Black Barn Winery, where a shuttle returns you to Napier. With its mix of coast, countryside, and culture, this tour is a true Hawke’s Bay highlight.

Tour Details

Start Time: 10:30 AM shuttle departure (Check-in at 10:15 AM)
Cycling Distance: 20km (Approx. 2 hours of riding)
Return Shuttle: Departs 4:00 PM from Black Barn Winery, arriving back in Napier by 4:30 PM
Recommended Stops: Allow 30 minutes for wine tastings and at least an hour for lunch

Children: 16 years and under
Our e-bikes are available in sizes from XXS to XL, with a minimum height requirement of 140cm. There is no age limit as long as the rider fits the e-bike, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Child pricing applies to those aged 16 or younger on a regular bike.

Your bikes will be ready as early as the ship’s arrival. We’ll arrange a return shuttle to fit your departure time, ensuring you're back comfortably on schedule.
