- Suitability: Not suitable for pregnant women or those with heart conditions. This grade 5 rafting experience is not suited for older or bigger individuals or those uncomfortable in water.

- What to Bring: Swimwear, shorts, towel, and a sense of adventure. Old swimwear is recommended for the hot pools due to the sulphur smell.
Additional Information
- Check-in Times: Rafting tours depart daily at 9 am, 11:45 am, and 2.30 pm. Hell’s Gate Spa is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, with the last entry at 4.30 pm.
- Duration: Allow 2 hours for rafting and 2 hours at Hell’s Gate.
- Location: 18 Okere Falls Road for rafting; Hell’s Gate at 351 State Highway 30, Tikitere, Rotorua. Both locations are within a 10-minute drive of each other.
- Pre-Rafting Activity: Arrive early and enjoy a stroll at Okere Falls Scenic Reserve, featuring multiple viewing platforms of the river and its waterfalls.
- Health & Safety: While all precautionary safety measures are taken, river rafting involves risks. Rafts can capsize, and participants may fall out in fast-flowing, violent water. Kaituna Cascades cannot guarantee safety.
- Solo Travellers: Solo adventurers are welcome and can join a group of up to 6 others.
