Get ready for an exhilarating journey down the Kaituna River, home to the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall, Tutea Falls. The River Rats Kaituna Waterfall Experience lets you take on this legendary river with expert guides who make safety and fun their top priorities. You’ll spend around 50 minutes on the water, mastering rapids, conquering waterfalls, and soaking up the stunning natural beauty of Rotorua.

The lush surroundings of Okere are steeped in Māori history, adding a cultural depth to the adventure. Hidden caves and sacred resting places tell stories of Chief Tutea and the generations who lived along the riverbanks. Between the roaring rapids, moments of calm invite you to breathe in the scent of native bush and feel the heart of Aotearoa all around you.
