The Ultimate Kaituna River Rafting Experience

You’ll glide through serene pools before tackling 14 rapids and three waterfalls, including the iconic 7-metre Tutea Falls. Each moment is a mix of adrenaline and awe as you paddle through emerald-green gorges surrounded by dense native forest.

From the rush of the rapids to the peaceful recovery stretches, Kaituna River Rafting leaves you buzzing with excitement and a deep connection to the land and its stories.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Training: Before the trip, you'll receive around 15 – 20 minutes of training covering essential paddle commands and safety information.
- Photographs: Professional photos are taken during each River Rats rafting trip, including the Kaituna Grade 5 section.
- Weight Limits: We recommend a minimum weight of 40kg and a maximum weight of 125kg.
- Pick-Up Service: We offer complimentary pick-up from central Rotorua accommodations approximately half an hour before the trip.
- Duration: Expect to spend 45 to 50 minutes on the water. Allow around 2 to 2 1/2 hours from the start time at the base, or approximately 3 hours including the Rotorua transfer.

- A 10-working-day notice is required for full group cancellations to avoid charges.
