What is Forest Flight like?
Forest Flight is a guided adventure lasting about two hours. You ride three dual ziplines side by side with another participant, with a guided walk along connecting boardwalks through native forest. The route ends near the Tasting Room, ready for lunch.
Wear closed-toe shoes such as trainers or walking shoes; jandals and slip-ons are not permitted. Comfortable trousers or longer shorts work well with the harness, and layers are useful if conditions change.
What’s included for lunch?
Lunch at the Tasting Room is designed to share: one pizza for every two people, with house-marinated olives, roasted broccoli and truffle fries. Pizza choices and other dishes may change with the season. Gluten-free pizza bases are available on request; advise dietary requirements or allergies when booking, as the kitchen cannot guarantee food is free from allergen cross-contact.

Where does the ferry leave from?
The ferry leaves from the Explore booking kiosk in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, at the end of Quay Street near the New Zealand Maritime Museum. Check in at least 15 minutes before departure. The approximately 90-minute crossing travels via Rotoroa Island before reaching Man O’ War Bay on Waiheke Island.

*Forest Flight has a minimum age of 7 years. Everyone taking part must be 125–210 cm tall and weigh 30–125 kg; staff check weight at the activity check-in. Children under 16 must be accompanied throughout Forest Flight by an adult aged 18 or over, who must join the activity rather than watch from the ground. Participants must also be able to walk and climb stairs without assistance.
A child who does not meet the limits cannot zipline. Check measurements before reserving: the Forest Flight operator says it cannot refund a reserved zipline place when someone fails the height or weight requirements at check-in. Families who want to visit the bay without ziplining can choose the Man O’ War Vineyard Ferry and arrange food separately.
