Set out from Wellington and cross the Remutaka Ranges, enjoying sweeping views before arriving in Featherston for a gourmet cheese tasting at C’est Cheese. Then, head to the heart of Martinborough for a vineyard walk led by a winemaker, where centuries-old vines frame your tasting before a leisurely lunch. It’s wine, history and landscape all intertwined in a single, flavour-filled stop.

Next, venture to a grove of Martinborough’s oldest olive trees to master the art of olive oil tasting and explore infused oildrizzles for culinary inspiration. Finally, round out the afternoon with a craft beer paddle at Martinborough Brewery—or, on Tues and Weds, at the historic Martinborough Hotel.
