Itinerary

Begin your day by meeting our welcoming local guide at your accommodation in Queenstown or a nearby location. Travel comfortably in a premium Mercedes van, designed for small-group tours with just 16 seats. The first part of the journey to Milford Sound takes you through the scenic Southland farming countryside and the lovely town of Te Anau, where we’ll pause by the lakeside for a short break and refreshments.

From this point, you’ll enter Fiordland National Park and travel along the famous Milford Road. This scenic route reveals a stunning side of New Zealand, with towering mountains, winding rivers, and the playful Kea bird. Along the way, your guide will stop at several spots for photos and short walks, sharing interesting facts and local stories to make the journey even more enjoyable.

When you arrive at Milford Sound, set off on a 2-hour nature cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises. This small boat trip takes you close to the towering peaks of the fjord and is guided by a knowledgeable nature expert. You’ll have the chance to explore the edges of the fjord, see stunning waterfalls, and possibly spot amazing wildlife like dolphins, penguins, fur seals, and native birds.

After your cruise, you will meet your Milford Sound Scenic Flights pilot, who will take you on an unforgettable flight back to Queenstown. Flying in a fixed-wing plane, this 45-minute journey offers breathtaking views of Milford Sound, Queenstown, and the stunning landscapes in between, including snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and braided rivers.
