The Mitai Maori Cultural Experience & Buffet Dinner offers a powerful window into Aotearoa’s rich cultural heritage. Watch as warriors glide down the Wai-o-Whiro stream in traditional war canoes, before you're swept up in the rhythm of haka, song and dance. This captivating performance honours the customs and stories of Māori ancestors.

After the show, you’ll feast on a delicious Hangi buffet cooked in an earth oven—infused with smoky, earthy flavours unique to this method. Dine on tender meat, chicken, kumara and more, all sourced from the bountiful Great Ocean of Kiwa. Your evening wraps up with a forest walk to Te Puna Tapu a Tuhoe and the magical glow worm-lit trails—a true taste of cultural and natural wonder.

Note: We specialise in serving "Hangi". Our menu accommodates some dietary needs such as gluten-free, and we offer vegetarian and vegan options. All our meats are halal.
