After pick-up from central Auckland, the journey heads south through the North Island towards Rotorua. A scheduled stop at Te Puia allows time to explore an active geothermal valley and a living Māori village. Steaming vents, bubbling mud pools and the impressive Pōhutu Geyser are complemented by traditional carving and weaving demonstrations.
