It includes premium eBikes, ensuite accommodation, winery tasting and lunch, and an Abel Tasman scenic boat cruise. Cycle from Nelson through Māpua to Kaiteriteri over three days, then visit Awaroa for lunch and free time. Departures operate from late September to April, subject to availability.

Cycle the Great Taste Trail and Cruise the Abel Tasman Coast

Spend three days cycling Nelson Tasman's Great Taste Trail, following coastal paths, estuaries and country roads from Nelson to Kaiteriteri. Ride beside the Waimea Estuary, cross Rabbit Island and take the Māpua Ferry to Māpua Wharf, where waterfront cafés, galleries and restaurants provide places to stop. Explore the Moutere Hills wine region on Day 2, with an included wine tasting and lunch, before continuing through Ruby Bay and Motueka towards Kaiteriteri on Day 3.

On your final day, leave the eBike behind and board a scenic boat cruise from Kaiteriteri into Abel Tasman National Park. Travel past sandy beaches, granite headlands and sheltered bays before arriving at Awaroa, where you'll have free time to explore the beach and surrounding area. Enjoy an included lunch at Awaroa Lodge before returning by boat to Kaiteriteri. With accommodation, luggage transfers and trail support arranged by Kiwi Journeys, you can enjoy independent cycling followed by a day on the Abel Tasman coast.

The Pedal to Paradise tour combines Grade 2 (Easy) and Grade 3 (Intermediate) cycling along Tasman's Great Taste Trail. Previous cycling experience, confident bike handling and reasonable fitness are recommended, particularly for the routes through the Moutere Hills and towards Kaiteriteri.

Day 2 involves rolling hills and some country road cycling, while Day 3 includes intermediate sections around Tasman and Kaiteriteri, including steeper climbs and trails through Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park. Premium eBikes help with pedalling, but you'll still need to be confident braking and cornering on gravel surfaces.

Allow approximately three to five hours of riding on each of the first three days. Day 4 involves no cycling, with a scenic boat cruise and time ashore at Awaroa. Walking is optional, although conditions around beaches and access points may be uneven.
