Itinerary

Kick off your day with a personalised pick-up from your Queenstown accommodation by the helicopter company. Soar over stunning landscapes on a scenic helicopter flight, complete with a mountaintop stop to sip a glass of bubbles. From there, touch down in the Gibbston wine region, renowned for its award-winning winemakers, breathtaking scenery, and exquisite Pinot Noir.

Our first stop is the famous Gibbston Valley Winery, one of the region’s original vineyards. Here, you’ll see the very first grapevines planted in the area. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour of New Zealand’s largest wine cave and sample some of their internationally renowned wines.

Kinross showcases an excellent selection of wines from various local winemakers, as well as their own. After your wine tasting, you’ll have extra time to enjoy lunch at the Kinross Bistro. Their menu offers a variety of tasty options, including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and main dishes. Meals are ordered and paid for on the day, allowing you the freedom to choose something that suits your taste and budget.

Mt Rosa is a small, family-run winery located beneath the striking Nevis Bluff. Their charming woolshed-style cellar door, surrounded by vineyards, reflects their sheep farming past. Here, you can enjoy tasting their hand-picked, single-estate wines. During winter, their mulled wine is a firm favourite with visitors!

Our final stop is the charming Church Tasting Room, a beautiful setting with large medieval-style windows and scenic grounds. Once a small church, it has been transformed into a delightful cellar door showcasing Mount Edward wines. Mount Edward is a family-run winery in Gibbston, producing small batches from single vineyard sites. Here, you can sample their Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, and Chenin wines.
