Wellington Craft Beer Tour | 6-hour

Welcome to Wellington, the craft beer capital of New Zealand and a haven for beer enthusiasts. This tour takes you on an exciting journey through some of the region’s best breweries, ranging from small, independent setups to larger-scale operations. Along the way, you’ll often have the chance to meet the master brewers or owners and hear their unique stories. To cap it all off, enjoy a scenic drive to a brewery located on Wellington’s stunning south coast.

We begin the day with a trip to Brewtown in Upper Hutt, located in the historic Dunlop Tyre Factory. Here, our first stop is Kereru Brewing, where you’ll sample a diverse selection of beers in their cosy pouring room. Next, visit Te Aro Brewing Co, also in Brewtown, to enjoy a tasting paddle of your choice alongside a hearty lunch.

Heading back towards the city, we stop at Abandoned Brewery in Lower Hutt, a boutique operation where owner/master brewer Tim Ward or head brewer Charlotte Feehan will guide you through a tour and tastings. From there, it’s on to the vibrant inner-city brewery Fortune Favours for another tasting.

The day concludes with a scenic drive around Wellington’s Eastern and Southern Bays to visit either Double Vision in Miramar or Parrot Dog in Lyall Bay. At Parrot Dog, you can try the legendary ‘Bitter Bitch’, a beer with a hoppy history and a bold flavour to match. We wrap up by returning to the city, with drop-offs at your selected location around 4:30 pm. (Itinerary subject to change)
