Ride Past Glacial Lakes, Golden Plains & Quiet Country Trails

This five-day self-guided cycling adventure showcases the stunning landscapes of the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. The journey begins at Aoraki/Mt Cook or Lake Takapō/Tekapo, leading through golden tussock lands, glacial lakes, and the Waitaki Valley before reaching the Pacific Ocean. With luggage transfers and accommodation arranged, the focus remains on enjoying the ride through ever-changing scenery.

Designed for experienced cyclists, the route covers 70-80km per day across backcountry roads, historic sites, and lakeside trails. The flexibility of a self-paced ride allows time to take in the surroundings, with detailed maps and support included. An e-bike upgrade is available, and those starting from Aoraki/Mt Cook will take a short helicopter flight over the Tasman River to begin their journey.
