The Bay of Islands Snorkelling Day Trip is a full-day boat trip from Paihia, giving you the chance to snorkel amongst the reefs and marine life of Northland’s subtropical waters. Cruise through the islands to the day’s dive and snorkelling sites, with time to explore underwater, relax aboard the boat and enjoy the scenery of the Bay of Islands.

Snorkelling in the Bay of Islands

Cruise from Paihia through the Bay of Islands, where dolphins, seals, penguins and marine birds may be spotted along the way. The Bay’s underwater environment is influenced by warm currents that bring a fascinating mix of temperate and subtropical marine life, making it an interesting place to explore with a mask and snorkel.

Snorkelling takes place alongside the day’s diving activities, with locations chosen according to conditions. Between time in the water, relax aboard the boat, enjoy lunch and take in the island and coastal scenery before returning to Paihia in the afternoon.

Dive/Snorkelling trips are run in the outdoors on the ocean, so may be exposed to sudden natural disasters such as, but not limited to Tsunami, Earthquakes, Slips Landslides or Rock Falls, or Volcanic Eruption. I am aware that participating in the Diving/Snorkelling offered by Paihia Dive can be hazardous if they are not conducted with care, control, and responsibility. I acknowledge that these risks could result in my injury (physical or mental) or even death.
