A Full Day of Diving and Marine Discovery

Your day begins bright and early at 7:45am in Paihia, where gear and paperwork are sorted before heading to the wharf. Once aboard Sentinel, the 30-minute cruise to Deep Water Cove offers chances to spot dolphins, penguins, and even seals. By the time you arrive, you’ll already feel the excitement building for your first dive.

The wreck dive is the highlight of the morning, with a full briefing and basic scuba skills covered to make you feel comfortable underwater. With a maximum depth of 12 metres, it’s an ideal introduction for new divers eager to explore. Once you’re ready, the underwater tour reveals colourful marine life in the pristine reserve.

Afternoon Reef Diving and Snorkelling Fun

After a relaxed lunch break, the adventure continues with a reef dive in the Bay of Islands. Deep Water Cove, being a marine reserve, guarantees thriving marine life that’s perfect for both divers and snorkellers. The reefs offer a completely different underwater experience compared to the morning dive.

There’s also the option for a second Discover Scuba Dive at an additional cost, giving keen explorers more time underwater. For those who prefer, snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters is a fantastic alternative. The day winds down with a scenic cruise back through the islands, arriving at Paihia Wharf around 3:30pm.

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • Bring your swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, camera, and something warm to wear after diving.

  • I understand that this activity comes with inherent risks and possible dangers.
