Each rail leg reveals something new—volcanic plateaus, rugged coastlines, and the dramatic Southern Alps.

Beyond the tracks, highlights include a guided tour of Te Papa Museum, a ferry crossing through the Marlborough Sounds, and a walk among the treetops of native rainforest.
