Dunedin Railway Station The day begins at the grand Dunedin Railway Station, an architectural icon and perfect place to start your journey. Take in its ornate design before boarding the Taieri Gorge Train for a breathtaking rail experience into the Otago highlands.
Taieri Gorge Train Relax as the train winds through steep ravines, across historic viaducts, and past isolated high-country landscapes. This heritage railway showcases engineering ingenuity and some of the most spectacular inland scenery in New Zealand.
Pukerangi Step off the train at Pukerangi, a remote high-country station surrounded by open plains. Here you’ll meet your guide and transfer to a modern Mercedes tour vehicle for the next leg through Central Otago.
