A Journey Through Central Otago’s Heart

Your adventure begins at Dunedin’s magnificent Edwardian railway station, where you board the legendary Taieri Gorge Train. As the carriages climb into the Otago highlands, the tracks wind through tunnels, towering viaducts, and dramatic gorges — a spectacular glimpse of the South Island’s remote beauty. The rhythmic click of the rails and panoramic views make this one of New Zealand’s most scenic rail experiences.

At Pukerangi, your guide greets you to continue the journey west in comfort and style. Travel by luxury Mercedes vehicle through Central Otago’s rolling landscapes and gold rush towns, where stories of adventure and endurance still linger. From the ghostly charm of St Bathans to the dramatic Kawarau Gorge, every stop reveals a new chapter in this region’s rich history before arriving in Queenstown, framed by alpine peaks and glittering lake views.
