What Your Kawarau Zipride Adventure Is Like
Your Kawarau Zipride adventure begins at the Kawarau Bungy Centre, where you’ll check in and get ready for your ride. Once prepared, you’ll launch along the 130m zipline at speeds of over 60 km/h, with three parallel lines allowing you to race alongside your companions. The entire self-drive experience takes around 1.5 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the activity and surrounding Kawarau setting.
For added convenience, Bungy Bus transport is available from Queenstown, with the complete trip taking around 2.5 hours. Your Zipride also includes photos and video delivered directly to your device, while spectators can join the experience and enjoy the viewing areas, making it easy for family and friends to share the excitement.

- Participants under 15 require an adult to sign consent at check-in.
- Weight requirement: 30kg–150kg for solo or tandem rides.
- Allow around 1.5 hours for self-drive or 2.5 hours with Bungy Bus transport.
- Spectators are free to watch at the Kawarau Bungy Centre and use the Bungy Bus. Bookings are essential and free.
- Participants with certain medical conditions should check the medical requirements before booking.
- Prescription safety glasses are available free of charge if required.
Self-Drive
- The Kawarau Bungy Centre is located on State Highway 6 at Kawarau Bridge, approximately halfway between Queenstown and Cromwell.
- From Queenstown: approximately 25 minutes (23 km).
- From Cromwell: approximately 30 minutes (27 km).
- Free parking is available onsite.
- Check in: At least 15 minutes before your jump time
- Allow: Minimum of 1.5 hours total from Queenstown
Bungy Transport
- Departs from the Queenstown Bungy Centre at Shotover and Camp Streets.
- Check in 30 minutes before your bus departure.
