The Rotorua Highlights including Wai-O-Tapu & Canopy Ziplining tour is a 12-hour small-group day trip from Auckland. The tour departs at approximately 6:30 am and returns to Auckland around 7:00 pm, with selected hotel pickup and drop-off included. Minimum ziplining age is six years.

Travel south from Auckland through the Waikato countryside, passing farmland, rivers and the corrugated-iron sculptures of Tirau on the way to Rotorua. At Wai-O-Tapu, spend approximately 90 minutes exploring geothermal features including steaming craters, bubbling mud and the Champagne Pool. After an included 45-minute lunch break, continue to the afternoon adventure.

The Original Canopy Tour takes approximately 2.5 hours and covers 1.2 kilometres of ancient native forest. Cross two swing bridges and ride six ziplines totalling 600 metres, including a 220-metre line, with treetop platforms reaching 18 metres above the forest floor. Before returning to Auckland, take a short guided drive past Rotorua landmarks including Lake Rotorua, Government Gardens, the Blue Baths and Rotorua Museum precinct.
