Your Wairarapa adventure starts with a 9:30am pick-up and a scenic drive through the lush Hutt Valley and over the Rimutaka Ranges. Soak in panoramic views at the summit before heading to Featherston and the rural beauty surrounding Martinborough. This charming wine town offers the chance to sample world-class Pinot Noir at a local vineyard.
After tasting the region’s flavours, we travel south to the Lake Ferry pub for classic Kiwi-style fish and chips with seaside views. From there, the coastal road leads to Ngawi, home to a playful grey fur seal colony. Our final highlight is the Cape Palliser lighthouse, where 254 steps reward you with unforgettable views before we return to Wellington with a relaxing afternoon tea stop.
