At Poppies Winery, enjoy a locally inspired platter paired with a glass of their finest wine for lunch. The afternoon is yours to continue wine tasting or enjoy a leisurely coffee and browse the shops in nearby Greytown. By late afternoon, you’ll return to Wellington refreshed and enriched by an unforgettable wine experience.

Itinerary

1.We'll pick you up from your chosen spot at 9.30am and enjoy a leisurely drive through the Hutt Valley, heading towards the Rimutaka Ranges.

2.As we pass through the peaceful town of Featherston, we'll journey east to Martinborough in the Wairarapa, traversing typical rural New Zealand countryside where you'll spot plenty of sheep, cattle, and deer.

3.Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to sample some award-winning wines, including the renowned Pinot Noirs that the region is famous for. Our tour guides, who are also wine experts, will share informative insights, many of them being entertaining characters themselves.

4.We'll start our tasting adventure with a visit to one of the local wineries before lunch, to get us started on the right note.

5.Then, it's time for lunch at Poppies Winery, where you'll indulge in a platter of local delicacies paired with a complimentary glass of wine.

6.After lunch, the wine tasting journey continues with visits to another 2-3 wineries, or if you prefer, we can arrange a coffee break and some shopping in nearby Greytown. The choice is yours.

7.We'll return you to Wellington at 4.30pm, feeling relaxed and enriched by your winery experience – and perhaps with a few samples tucked away in your bag.
