Wairarapa Wine Delights Private Tour

After collecting you from Wellington, we’ll journey through the scenic Hutt Valley to the Remutaka mountain range summit, standing 555 metres above sea level. Here, you’ll visit the Remutaka Crossing monument, a tribute to the 60,000 New Zealand troops who marched from Featherston to Wellington during WWI.

From the summit, we travel approximately 60 minutes to Masterton, where our first winery, Le Gra Vineyard, awaits. Enjoy a tasting session paired with a beautifully prepared platter lunch showcasing fresh, local produce.

After lunch, we head south to the picturesque Gladstone region, where we’ll visit one of three exceptional wineries: Johner Estate, Gladstone Vineyard, or Cottier Estate, for a delightful tasting experience.

Next, it’s a short drive southeast to Martinborough, the Pinot Noir capital of the North Island. Here, you’ll enjoy tastings at two more carefully selected wineries from a choice including Tiwaiwaka Wines, Grava, Alexander Vineyard, Haythornthwaite Winery, Poppies Martinborough, Moy Hall, Coney Wines, Escarpment, and Tirohana Estate. One of these stops will also feature a private tour and an insightful chat with the winemaker or owner.

To round off the day, there’s time to explore the charming Martinborough village, with its boutique shops and unique finds. Alternatively, you might opt for a visit to Martinborough’s only craft brewery for a change of pace.

We’ll depart for Wellington at around 3pm, returning to your chosen drop-off location by approximately 5:00pm. (Itinerary subject to change)
