Our Invercargill to Queenstown Transfer offers a relaxed and comfortable way to travel through the South Island. The journey takes you past Southland’s farming plains, rolling hills, and alongside the tranquil shores of Lake Wakatipu. As you approach Queenstown, the scenery shifts to dramatic alpine landscapes.

We usually follow State Highway 6, though we can adjust the route through Gore if required. If you need to reach Queenstown at a set time for flights or appointments, just let us know and we’ll work around your schedule. With flexibility and comfort at the heart of the service, this transfer is the ideal link between Invercargill and Queenstown.

Pick up Invercargill starts: 9:30am
Drop off Queenstown: About 12:30pm -1:00pm: Difficult to estimate arrival in Queenstown as pick ups can take 45 minutes or more in Invercargill. No drop offs to Arthurs Point or Arrowtown.

We do not guarantee connections for ferries, flights, buses, or appointments due to the door-to-door nature of our service, but we will do our best to make these happen. We are not liable for missed connections. When booking, please mention these in the Comments section.

9:30 AM Door-to-Door Service

Schedule: Operates Monday to Sunday, 9:30 AM - 12:45 PM (approximate)
Important Notes:
- Pickup/Drop-off Location for Queenstown CBD: Athol Street Bus Stop is the designated pickup point for all Queenstown CBD locations unless your address has a concierge area.
- Be Ready Early: Pickups are approximate and may begin slightly before 9:30 AM. Be prepared, and ensure your phone is on with volume up so the driver can contact you if needed.
- Flight Recommendations: We suggest booking same-day national flights no earlier than 2:30 PM and international flights no earlier than 3:30 PM, as travel times may vary.

End Time: Approximately 12:45 PM, with an allowance for up to 30 extra minutes for final drop-offs.

7:20 AM Summer Bus Stop Service (Currently Unavailable)

Schedule: Operates Monday to Sunday, excluding statutory holidays (please check availability during summer months)

- 7:20 AM: Tuatara Bus Stop (must be seated 5 minutes before departure)
- 7:50 AM: Winton TBA
- 8:35 AM: Lumsden Toilets Car Park
- 9:05 AM: Five Rivers Cafe (arrival approx. 8:50 AM for bathroom break)
- 9:40 AM: Kingston Cafe Car Park
- 10:30 AM: Queenstown Airport
- 10:40 AM: Frankton Bus Stop
- 11:00 AM: Athol Street Bus Stop, Queenstown CBD (final stop)
Important Notes:
- Punctuality is Crucial: This service cannot wait for late passengers. Be at your stop 20 minutes early, as no text notifications are provided.
- Seating: Please be seated 5 minutes before each departure time.
- Midway Stops: Do not exit the bus between stops, except at Five Rivers Cafe for a scheduled bathroom break.

Additional Travel Options: Check online for possible connections to Arrowtown, Wanaka, or Cromwell on selected summer days.

For a smooth connection, book our 9:10 AM Bluff to Invercargill service to reach Invercargill in time for the Queenstown transfer.

Please note, we cannot wait for other services to arrive in Invercargill, so plan accordingly. Both legs of this journey need to be booked separately. There is an intentional overlap in Invercargill for safe, efficient transfers arranged by our drivers at designated meeting spots.
