What to Expect on Your Taupo Bungy
Taupo Bungy offers the choice of a solo or tandem jump, so you can take on the challenge alone or share the experience with a friend. From the edge of the cantilever platform, you’ll take the plunge towards the turquoise waters of the Waikato River before being safely returned to the platform. The complete experience takes approximately one hour.
The riverside setting makes Taupo Bungy as scenic as it is thrilling, with spectators able to watch the action from the viewing areas beside the river. Your experience also includes photos and video delivered directly to your device, giving you a lasting record of your jump. - Weight requirement: 35kg–140kg
- Tandem weight limit: 180kg combined, with a maximum 30kg weight difference between participants.
- Water touch is possible but not guaranteed
- Wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes and bring extra layers and a jacket during cooler weather
- Allow approximately one hour for the experience
- Participants with certain medical conditions should check the medical requirements before booking.
- Prescription safety glasses are available free of charge if required.
The Taupō Bungy and Swing site is located at 202 Spa Road, just a short drive from Taupō town centre.
By Car
- Located approximately 5–10 minutes by car from Taupō town centre
- Follow Tongariro Street, Poihipi Road and Huka Falls Road towards Taupō Bungy & Swing
- Open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:00pm and until 5pm on weekends.
- Free parking is available onsite
On Foot or Bike
- Approximately 20–25 minutes on foot from central Taupō
- Around 10 minutes by bike
- Follow the Great Lake Walkway towards Spa Thermal Park before connecting to Huka Falls Road
Transport
- Limited transport options are available within the Taupō district
- Contact the operator in advance if you require transport
