Start your adventure with a scenic ferry ride from downtown Auckland or Devonport, gliding across the sparkling Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island’s Matiatia Wharf. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the EcoZip shuttle, whisking you off to your first stop — the award-winning EcoZip Adventures.

Here, you’ll soar through the treetops on three exhilarating zip lines, flying high above a working vineyard and lush native bush. After the rush, take a relaxing 30-minute guided walk back through the forest, learning about local flora and fauna as you make your way up to the summit.

Next up, buckle in for a scenic flight across the island in a classic Cessna 172 aircraft. This breathtaking aerial journey sweeps you from Waiheke’s southern shores to the eastern coastline, showcasing iconic views of Oneroa village, Rangitoto volcano, and the Auckland skyline. Keep your eyes peeled for local oyster beds, mussel farms, and the pristine waters surrounding Ponui, Pakatoa, and conservation sanctuary Rotoroa Island.

When the day winds down, you can either be transferred directly back to the ferry terminal or continue exploring the island at your own pace before catching a later ferry back to Auckland.
