Discover the Wonders of the Outer Gulf

Sailing into the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park offers a rare chance to experience one of New Zealand’s most treasured environments. The Pacific Star catamaran carries you across pristine waters where dramatic coastlines and island sanctuaries await. This daily adventure from Waiheke Island combines relaxation, exploration, and ecological discovery in a truly unforgettable way.

A visit to a pest-free island reveals why these protected spaces are so important to New Zealand’s biodiversity. Native birds thrive here, and guided walks share insights into the unique ecosystems that flourish free from predators. After exploring on land, you can dive into the crystal-clear waters or try stand-up paddleboarding for a refreshing change of pace.

Connect with Nature and the Ocean

The Hauraki Gulf is alive with stories, from its rich marine life to the cultural history of its islands. Onboard guides share fascinating knowledge about oceanography and conservation efforts that protect this incredible environment. It’s a chance to learn while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the sound of sails in the wind.

Wildlife encounters are part of the magic, with opportunities to spot both resident and migratory species. Guests are also invited to take the helm alongside skipper Bruce, gaining hands-on sailing experience on the open sea.
