Whakanewha Regional Park is a lush sanctuary that makes this guided walk truly memorable. Its expansive forest is home to diverse native species and offers a refreshing retreat into nature. Hidden along the trails, you’ll find dotterel nesting areas carefully protected to ensure the survival of these rare birds.
Guides enrich the experience with insights into the island’s ecology, ensuring every visitor learns something new. The capped group size of 12 allows for a relaxed and personal journey, free from the bustle of large tours. A refreshing swim or beachside picnic provides the perfect finish to a rewarding exploration.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Departure: Catch the 9am Fullers Ferry from downtown Auckland (approximately 35 minutes to Waiheke Island).
Commencement: The walk begins at 9:45am from the Matiatia Ferry Terminal on Waiheke Island.
Look out for your guide on the left side as you disembark the ferry, just before entering the terminal, holding a Terra & Tide sign.
Conclusion: The walk concludes at 3:00pm at the Matiatia Ferry Terminal.

- More than 7 days before the tour: A 10% fee will be deducted.
- Between 7 days and 48 hours before the tour: A 50% fee will be deducted unless you rebook (subject to availability).*
