Taupo Swing

The Taupō Swing takes you on a 44-metre (144-foot) swing arc above the Waikato River, creating an exhilarating combination of height, speed and spectacular scenery. Once released, you’ll sweep through the gorge at speeds of up to 70 km/h.

Unlike a traditional bungy jump, the Swing sends you soaring in a huge pendulum motion rather than bouncing repeatedly. You can experience it solo or share the thrill with a friend on a tandem swing, making it a memorable adventure in Taupō.

The Taupō Swing is available to participants aged 10 and over. Anyone under 15 must have an adult sign the required consent at check-in. The minimum weight is 30 kg, while the maximum is 140 kg for a solo swing or 180 kg combined for a tandem swing.

Participants should also wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes. If you have any medical conditions or concerns, check the operator's medical requirements before booking and speak with the Swing crew at check-in.

The Taupō Swing is located at the Taupō Bungy & Swing Centre on Spa Road, perched on the cliffs above the Waikato River. The site is only around 5–10 minutes by car from central Taupō, with free parking available on-site.
