Hike Mount Cook, Hooker Valley, Wanaka & Ben Lomond with Expert Guides

Experience the wild beauty of New Zealand’s Southern Alps on this 7-day guided hiking tour. Begin your journey in Lake Tekapo with two nights in a private backcountry hut overlooking the Mackenzie Basin, then hike ridge-top trails with panoramic views of Aoraki/Mount Cook. From here, explore the dramatic Hooker Valley and witness the power of the Hooker Glacier and Mt Sefton’s icy flanks.

Continue to Wanaka, where a scenic hike reveals sweeping views of Lake Wanaka and Mount Aspiring. The trip finishes in Queenstown with a final summit walk up Ben Lomond before descending by gondola into the adventure capital. With a mix of remote backcountry trails and iconic alpine landscapes, this is one of the South Island’s most rewarding hiking experiences.
