This 3-day self-guided cycle tour takes you along the spectacular Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold Trails, following the Clutha River/Mata-au from Clyde to Lawrence. You’ll ride through dramatic gorges, vibrant orchards, and peaceful farmland, with a scenic jet boat transfer linking two remote sections. It’s a truly memorable way to explore one of Otago’s most picturesque regions.

Each night’s accommodation is sorted for you, along with daily luggage transfers and breakfast on two mornings. Bikes, maps, and friendly local support are all included to keep things easy and enjoyable.   • Trail Grading and Surface: Graded 4. ntroductory to Moderate. Mostly compacted gravel with some uneven surfaces, hills, switchbacks, and exposure in gorge sections. Average daily cycling distance: 32km.
  • Fitness and Preparation: Suitable for riders with a reasonable level of fitness. Training on compacted gravel and multi-day riding is recommended. E-bikes are suitable when used appropriately and with sufficient battery capacity.
