Akaroa Swim with the Dolphins from Christchurch

This tour accompanies the Akaroa Day Tour from Christchurch. On your arrival in Akaroa join the Canterbury Cat 2 for your dolphin swimming experience. Prior to the departure you will be equipped with wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers.  On locating a pod of Hectors Dolphins you will enter the water to swim with these rare and endangered mammals. Following your return to Akaroa village time will be available for lunch and to explore the many fine craft shops and old French colonial buildings prior to your return to Christchurch. You must be 8 years and older to swim, all children and adults must have a basic level of swimming ability, must be able to tread water in deep water where you will not be able to touch ground.

Please note: Swimming with dolphins is not available for children under 8 years old. Children between 8 – 12 must be accompanied by an adult swimmer.
