Overview
Maybe a longer day on the water is what you’re looking for? Then you will find this Full Day Lake Taupo Kayaking trip in New Zealand perfect for you!
We set off from the protected waters of Acacia Bay before our paddling adventure takes us below native bush and past sheer cliffs and narrow inlets that only kayaks can navigate through. Before long, the amazing 100-metre Maori Rock Carvings in Mine Bay come into view.
Masons Rock comes next, an incredible volcanic fan of rock that sticks out of the lake’s waters. As you float beneath the rock, listen as your experienced guide shares to you the carving’s cultural importance to the lake and the areas surrounding it.
We will take a break for refreshments and a relaxing gourmet lunch during our trip, and have a chance to admire incredible mountain views and swim in the lake’s clear waters. Should the breeze come up on our way back, we can make a raft of our kayaks and sail on our return trip, a truly fantastic way to cap it all off!
Let us know which option suits you best as there several to choose from on this trip. We are more than glad to arrange a trip that perfectly fits your requirements.
Experience is not necessary for this trip as all our trips are guided with full instructions provided. We also supply you with safe and easy-to-use double kayaks that anyone can operate. Adults must accompany children under the age of 12 in our kayaks.

We now have motorised kayaks available. These are ideal for those with a disability. Please ask about them when booking.
