Half Day Christchurch City Tour

After we pick you up we travel to Christchurch and around the city centre where you’ll see the rebuilding that has taken place since the earthquakes of 2010/2011. On the half day Christchurch City Tour, we will talk about why the events occurred, its aftermath and the promising plans for the future. We will also dive deep into the city’s history and have a quick look around the amazing Botanic Gardens where you will see why New Zealand’s flora and fauna are found nowhere else in the world. A few of our city stops will take us to the Tannery shopping precinct, the Transitional Cathedral (also known as the Cardboard Cathedral) and the River precinct.

If we still have time, we will take a short trip to the Port Hills, a volcanic ridge that overlook Christchurch, and breathe in commanding views of the city, the Lyttelton Harbour, the Canterbury plains beyond, and the Southern Alps in the distance.
