Highlights of Waihekeβs Natural and Cultural Treasures
Along the way, Pohutukawa trees line the coastline, their vibrant blooms adding colour to the sea views. The regenerating forest offers a glimpse into how native bush is thriving again, making the trail rich in both beauty and ecological significance. Your guide enhances the walk with stories about local flora, fauna, and Waihekeβs cultural past.
At the end of your walk, youβll have the option to continue your day at one of Waihekeβs iconic destinations. Choose from vineyards such as Mudbrick or Cable Bay for wine and food, stroll through Oneroa Village, or simply return to the ferry for a relaxed trip back. However you finish, the experience leaves lasting memories of Waihekeβs charm.
